Since organizers are hoping to kick off the party with the usual Pride Parade, they’re holding off until restrictions will hopefully be relaxed. The City of Philadelphia currently isn’t allowing parades due to the pandemic. Instead of the usual June celebrations, organizers will instead be putting on a “Pride Lite” event on September 4th at Penn’s Landing, according to Philadelphia Gay News. In the city of brotherly love, Pride is happening in-person, but it’s on hold until the fall.

Thankfully, this June we’re already seeing far more outdoor in-person events than we did in 2020 - many with events for the LGBTQ parents and kids. are announcing how they’ll be celebrating Pride in a Covid-friendly way. As we saunter closer to Pride month, cities and towns across the U.S.
